Dr. Tam Nguyen is a native Texan and a board-certified family medicine physician with advanced fellowship training in dermatology. He is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and brings a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions. Dr. Nguyen combines a strong medical foundation with specialized dermatologic expertise to deliver thoughtful, evidence-based care to every patient.
Dr. Nguyen earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame before completing his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his family medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he received the program’s top award for outstanding clinical care and academic excellence. Driven by a passion for helping patients with skin conditions, Dr. Nguyen continued his training with an advanced dermatology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Nguyen enjoys camping, stargazing, and visiting planetariums. He stays active by playing basketball, tennis, and pickleball. He also loves cooking a variety of Asian cuisines and hosting backyard barbeques for friends and family. Dr. Nguyen hopes to enjoy more lake activities in the future—once he finally learns how to swim.
