Meet Matthias Solomon, MD, Plastic Surgeon at Preferred Dermatology

Dr. Matthias Solomon is a triple board-certified plastic surgeon in the North Texas area. He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Surgery. With a specialization in cosmetic surgery as well as reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Solomon plays a crucial part in the success of our dermatology surgical program. He plays a huge role in Mohs repairs that are located anywhere on or near the face, neck, or any other place where a scar may be undesirable. He is skilled at performing scar revision treatment and repair surgeries for patients who suffer trauma to the skin, such as burns, scarring, and serious wounds. He is highly trained and ready to help our patients who suffer from skin deformities and flaws.

Dr. Solomon’s initial medical education was completed in India, where he graduated as a university gold medalist from his surgery residency program. This was followed by surgical training in the United Kingdom and a five-year surgery residency program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, which is ranked among the top 20 hospitals in the United States. He was then selected for specialization in plastic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
